Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

The 1% Ecom Club is operated by Founders Clubhouse Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16085394), with its registered office at C/O Bwbca Limited, Office 44, A30 Business Centre, Okehampton, Devon, EX20 1BG.

We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. That means we decide what is collected and what happens to it. If you want to talk to us about any of it, email jayden@foundersclubhouse.co.uk.

2. What we collect

Only two things come from you directly:

• Your first name and your email address, when you fill in the form to get access.

And a small amount is collected automatically when you visit:

• Your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you looked at, recorded in our hosting provider's server logs.
• If, and only if, you accept advertising cookies: how you arrived here, what you did on the page, and whether you signed up. See section 4.

We do not ask for your address, your phone number, your date of birth or your payment details. Payment for membership happens on Skool, not here, so we never see or hold your card details.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

You can withdraw your consent at any time, and it costs you nothing to do so. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did with your data before you withdrew it.

4. Cookies and tracking

Essential storage. We store your cookie choice in your browser so we do not ask you every time. Nothing about you is sent anywhere.

Meta Pixel. If you press Accept, we load the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. It sets cookies and tells Meta that you visited, what you did here and whether you signed up. Meta uses that to report on our ads and to build advertising audiences. If you press Reject, the pixel is never loaded and none of that happens.

YouTube. The video on our home page is hosted on YouTube and loaded in privacy-enhanced mode, which means YouTube does not set tracking cookies unless you actually play the video. Once you press play, Google may set cookies and will receive your IP address. Google's own privacy policy covers that.

Google Fonts. Our typefaces load from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We never have and we do not intend to. We do use a small number of suppliers to run the business:

• Klaviyo - stores your name and email and sends our emails.
• Replit - hosts this website. Our deployment runs in the European Union.
• Meta Platforms - only if you accepted advertising cookies.
• Google - fonts on every page, and YouTube if you play the video.

If you go on to join the community, that happens on Skool, which is a separate company with its own privacy policy and its own relationship with you. We would also disclose data if the law required it of us.

6. Sending data outside the UK

Klaviyo, Meta and Google are based in the United States, so your data is transferred there. Those transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or the EU-US and UK-US Data Privacy Framework, depending on the supplier. In plain terms: there are contracts in place that require them to protect your data to UK standards.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your name and email for as long as you are subscribed, and for up to two years after you unsubscribe or stop opening our emails, after which it is deleted. Server logs are kept for a short period, usually no more than 30 days. Advertising cookie data is held by Meta according to their own retention rules, which we do not control.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• Tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete it.
• Stop or limit what we do with it.
• Hand it over in a portable format, or send it to someone else.
• Stop using it for direct marketing - this one is absolute, we have to comply.

Email jayden@foundersclubhouse.co.uk and we will deal with it within one month. There is no charge.

9. Complaints

If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

10. Children

This site is meant for adults running or starting a business. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we will delete them.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and move the date at the top. Worth a look now and again.
